Privacy notice
Effective October 23, 2026. This notice covers lovepotionai.com.
The short version
- Children can read, listen, take the quiz and do the Wave Breath without an account, a name or an email. Those pages collect no personal information from anyone.
- There are no advertising or tracking cookies and no advertising pixels on this site.
- The email list and the shop are for grown-ups. We use a grown-up's email only to say when a new story or book is ready, and we never sell or share it.
- A book made for your child is ordered by a grown-up. Your child's name is never sent to the AI services that write and draw it, and everything about your child is erased soon after the book ships, or sooner if you ask.
Who we are
This section is not complete yet: the site owner has not published LPAI_OPERATOR_NAME, LPAI_OPERATOR_ADDRESS, LPAI_OPERATOR_PHONE, LPAI_CONTACT_EMAIL.
The Legendary Unicorns is published by Love Potion AI. We are the only operator collecting information through this site, and we answer every question about it.
Children
The stories, the Listening Library, the read-aloud scripts, the quiz and the Wave Breath guide work without asking anything. The quiz runs entirely in your browser and sends nothing to us. There is no chat, no sharing and no public profile anywhere on the site, so a child cannot make personal information public here.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The email list asks for a year of birth first and stores nothing when the answer could mean a child under 13. If you believe a child has given us information anyway, write to us and we will delete it. A parent can always ask us what we hold about their child, have it deleted, and tell us not to collect or use any more of it, by writing to the address above.
The grown-ups' email list
What we keep: the email address and the date it joined. The year of birth is used only to check age at that moment and is not stored.
What it is for: telling you when a new story, book or recording is ready. Nothing else.
Who else sees it: nobody, except an email delivery service if we use one to send our emails, which we will name here before we do. We never sell, rent or trade the list.
How long we keep it: until you leave the list. Every email we send has a link to leave, and leaving deletes your address at once. You can also write to us and ask.
Buying books (grown-ups)
When you buy a printed book, Stripe takes the payment on its own secure page; we never see your card number. The printing company that makes and ships the book (Lulu Press) receives the name, shipping address and phone number it needs to deliver it. We keep a record of each order (what was bought, the email it was sent to, and its shipping status) for as long as tax and accounting law requires, generally up to seven years, and use it only to deliver the order, answer questions about it and keep our accounts. If you arrived from one of our ads, the order records which campaign it came from, so we can tell which ads are worth running; that is a label in the link you clicked, not a cookie.
A book made for your child (grown-ups)
To make a book with your child in it, a parent or guardian answers a few questions after the same year-of-birth check as the email list. What we keep: your child's first name or nickname, the pronouns the story uses, the colors and features you choose for your child as a young unicorn, a word that describes them, something they love, and the dedication if you write one; and the book made from them — its words, its pictures and its print files. We never ask for a photo, a last name, an age, a school or an address of the child's own.
Who else sees it: the words are written by Anthropic's AI model, Claude, and the pictures drawn by xAI's model, Grok Imagine. Neither is sent your child's name: the story is written with a stand-in name, and this site puts your child's name in afterwards. Anthropic receives the description and the choices, and xAI the description of a young unicorn. Lulu Press receives the finished book, which carries the name, to print and mail it; Stripe takes the payment and the shipping address, as for any printed book. Nobody receives your answers to sell or to advertise.
How long we keep it: your answers and the book made from them are erased 30 days after the printer reports the book shipped; answers for a book that was never paid for are erased after two days; and nothing is kept longer than 120 days, whatever happened to the order. The link on your order page erases all of it at once, whenever you choose. The order itself (what was bought, when, and its shipping status) is kept like any other order, without your child's details.
Each book is checked automatically — by the series' own rules, and by a second AI model that reads the story and looks at every picture — and is printed without a person reading it first.
The Makers' Market (grown-ups)
A maker who opens a shop gives us an email address, a shop name and a passphrase, which we store only as a scrambled hash. Payments and payouts are handled by Stripe. A signed-in maker's browser holds one sign-in cookie.
What every visit leaves
Like every website, our server records each request (the address it came from, the page and the time) to keep the site secure and working. These logs are not used to identify or profile anyone, are never used for advertising, and are deleted within 14 days. Cloudflare carries the site to your browser and counts page views with its Web Analytics, which Cloudflare says uses no cookies and does not track you across sites.
Cookies: a sign-in cookie for makers who sign in, and, if the email list's age check turns someone away, a one-day cookie so the form is not simply tried again. Nothing else.
Changes
If we change what we collect or how we use it, we will update this page and its date before the change takes effect, and we will not use information we already hold in a new way without asking first.
